\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>Taishan School Martial Arts was co-founded by Shifu August Xu<\/strong> and Shifu\u00a0Sue Yang<\/strong>. They are both graduates of the prestigious Wushu College of the Beijing Sport University holding Bachelor’s of Education Degrees in Martial Arts.\u00a0 Both are trained to teach from beginner to the elite professional level. Together they have developed programs at Taishan School suitable for all ages and skill levels.<\/p>\n

Shifu Xu was born into a Chinese Martial Arts Master’s family. \u00a0Trained in Mainland China, he started learning traditional Chinese Martial Arts early in his childhood. He has won multiple Gold Medals in Chinese National Wushu competitions and held the title of “Top Level Warrior of China”.\u00a0 \u00a0He was a certified Wushu Referee at the highest level and taught Wushu at Xiamen University for a number of years. Shifu Xu specialized in Traditional Kung Fu, Modern Wushu, Street Survival, Combat, Tai Chi and Qigong. Sadly, our deeply respected and revered founder and teacher passed peacefully after a heroic battle with cancer. His spirit, wisdom and teachings live on through his Taishan School family.<\/p>\n

Shifu Yang continues to develop and oversee all of the programs they built at the Taishan School. She was also born into a Chinese Martial Arts Master’s family. \u00a0She began her training at a very young age with her father, a well known Kung Fu master in the Hebei Province of China. She has won numerous Gold Medals in Chinese local and regional Wushu competitions.\u00a0 After graduation, Shifu Yang further specialized in Martial Arts education for children.\u00a0 She is expert in Traditional Kung Fu, Modern Wushu, Street Survival, Combat, Tai Chi and Qigong.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shifu Andy Ragosnig, <\/strong>Certified Kung Fu Instructor<\/p>\n

Shifu Andy Ragosnig has been training at the Taishan School of Martial Arts for a number of years. \u00a0He holds a Black Sash in Modern Wushu, and is accomplished in Self-Defence, Wushu Combat (Sanda)\u00a0 as well as in Praying Mantis Style. \u00a0He is certified as a Kung Fu Instructor through the Taishan School’s teaching certification program. \u00a0He performs as part of and takes a lead role with the Taishan Demonstration Teams. \u00a0Shifu Andy has been a great example to his students and inspired many through his work ethic and passion for Martial Arts training.<\/p>\n

Shifu George Yeung, <\/strong>Certified Kung Fu Instructor<\/p>\n

\"IMG_2329\"<\/a>Shifu George Yeung has been training at the Taishan School of Martial Arts for a number of years. \u00a0He holds a Black Sash in Modern Wushu, specializing in the Southern Style, and is accomplished in Self-Defence, Wushu Combat (Sanda). \u00a0He is certified as a Kung Fu Instructor through the Taishan School’s teaching certification program. \u00a0He has extensive training and expertise in fitness and health sciences. \u00a0Shifu George graduated with an MSc and PhD through the Faculty of Medicine from the University of Toronto.<\/p>\n

Shifu Rosy Xu, <\/strong>Certified Kung Fu Instructor<\/p>\n

Shifu Rosy Xu was born into a Kung Fu family. \u00a0She began her training at a very young age and holds a black sash in Modern Wushu. \u00a0She is accomplished in multiple traditional Kung Fu weapons and Wushu Combat (Sanda). She is certified as a Kung Fu Instructor through the Taishan School’s teaching certification program. \u00a0She teaches Wushu, Kung Fu for Children classes as well as the After School Kung Fu Training Program. \u00a0Shifu Rosy has a special rapport with children and is very popular with her students.\u00a0 She creates a fun and safe environment in her classes. She is currently working on her BSc in Kinesiology and has been accepted into Teacher’s College at York University.<\/p>\n

Shifu Amy Yeung began her training at Taishan School of Martial Arts at a very young age. She holds a black sash in Modern Wushu and is accomplished in multiple traditional Kung Fu weapons and Wushu Combat (Sanda).\u00a0 She is certified as a Kung Fu Instructor through the Taishan School’s teaching certification program. Shifu Amy is also a professional dance teacher, winning numerous awards and medals in dance and choreography competitions. She is currently working towards a BSc in Kinesiology at York University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sifu Janet Wilcox, <\/strong>Certified Kung Fu Instructor<\/p>\n\n\n

Shifu Janet Wilcox has been training at the Taishan School of Martial Arts for a number of years.  She is accomplished in Tai Chi and Modern Wushu.   She is certified as a Kung Fu Instructor through the Taishan School’s teaching certification program. She is well liked by her students for her patience and motivational skills. Shifu Janet has shown a talent for helping even the youngest of her students to stay focused while maintaining a disciplined, safe, but also fun training environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
